P.S. Never Give Up Hope

Welcome! Hope is the intangible feeling that encompasses life’s unknown possibilities. What would you do if a single juvenile mistake cost you your equal liberty and fair justice? If cruel and unusual punishment was the result of one regretful action that you desperately hoped you could take back?

P.S. Never Give Up Hope chronicles the lives of 10 current and former youthful offenders as they candidly share details of the mistakes, consequences, and regrets surrounding the irreversible crimes they committed. Although their crimes range from drug abuse to robbery and murder, each inmate has one thing in common: They were all teenagers when they were arrested and sentenced to their respective terms in prison. This book provides them with an opportunity to deliver a firsthand account of the crimes they were charged with, along with a request for forgiveness from those who were deeply affected by their actions. P.S. Never Give Up Hope serves as a form of redemption for these condemned criminals. It allows them to humbly and truthfully share their side of the story to prevent others from making the same mistakes, even if their freedom is countless years away.

Reviews

“P.S. Never Give Up Hope allows the curious reader to take a peek inside the confidential diaries of 10 youthful offenders through the eyes of its brilliant author, Renata Hannans, who has captured and penned the one reckless moment in time where everything went wrong. That moment, for these young men and women, occurred early, during the formative teenage years and thrust babies into dungeons where any hope of future freedom is as distant as the heavens are from the earth. The pages come alive and paint an ugly collage of violence, victims, grieving families and fractured hopes. It is a poignant reminder that we have failed our children who were at the stage of being too immature to fathom the ramifications of their crimes. How long will we lend a deaf ear to their cries as they struggle for survival in dangerous adult prisons? How can they ever heal? This book poses the ultimate challenge to its astute readership to demand resourceful Justice for Juvenile Offenders.”
